While it hasn't been stated publicly for certain, it's thought by fans and viewers of his reality shows that Christopher "Big Black" Boykin has a "lazy eye." Lazy eye, known scientifically as "amblyopia," is a condition in which the nerve pathway from one eye to the brain does not develop properly during childhood. With amblyopia, visual stimulation fails to transmit, either fully or partially, through the optic nerve to the brain. It's a condition that can be cured, but takes much longer to cure if not treated early in life. One who has a lazy eye appears to have one eye that doesn't move with the other eye or often appears not to move at all. Christopher "Big Black" Boykin is best known for his role as the bodyguard and friend of Rob Dyrdek on the MTV reality TV series "Rob & Big." The show ran for 3 years, from 2006 through 2008. Before becoming a bodyguard, Boykin was a member of the United States Navy. After "Rob and Big," he went on to start his own clothing line, called "Big Black" but also referred to as Do Work. Starting in 2011, Boykin joined the cast of "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory."
