Skylar Astin is straight. Astin played the part of Jesse on Pitch Perfect.
Astin has been interested in acting most of his life. In high school he attended the famed Stagedoor Manor Camp and was a student at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Skylar's first major role was as Georg in the Tony Award winning musical, Spring Awakening. He also appeared as Mark Cohen in Rent, directed by Neil Patrick Harris.
Astin currently has two films in post-production. He will play the part of Dean in Cavemen, a comedic drama that follows the lives of single, unemployed guys who live in a warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles. He also played the part of Casey in 21 and Over, a film about a student's last night before starting medical school.
